The Training Standards Division ensures the peace officers of Georgia are receiving the highest quality and most up-to-date training available. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluating and approving new course recognition requests
• Evaluating and approving Seminar/Conference and Out of State training requests
• Assisting, evaluating, and presenting for POST Council approval curriculum updates for Basic Certification academy courses
• Providing online training for Out of State equivalency of training applicants
• POST Academy Audits
• Uniform Law Enforcement Academy Regulations updates
